This item is a request to approve the recommended award for Invitation to Bid (ITB) #RTSX-220045-DS and execute a contract with Kelly Klean LLC for Grounds Maintenance for Regional Transit System Facilities.
Explanation
On March 1, 2022, the City’s Procurement Division issued an Invitation to Bid (ITB) to provide grounds maintenance services for Regional Transit System facilities. The ITB process was implemented in compliance with, and as required by Florida Statutes and City of Gainesville policies.
Eight (8) responses were submitted by the deadline. The lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder was Kelly Klean LLC. RTS desires to enter into a contract with Kelly Klean LLC.
Strategic Connection: The Regional Transit System network provides transportation access to many services within our community and supports all five goals in the City’s strategic plan including Equitable Community, A More Sustainable Community, a Great Place to Live and Experience, a Resilient Local Economy, and “Best in Class” Neighbor Services.
Fiscal Note
Funds in the amount not to exceed $100,787.50 for the 17-month term are available in the FY22 and proposed FY23 RTS Maintenance budget for Building and Grounds Maintenance.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorizes the interim City Manager or designee to execute a contract with Kelly Klean LLC, for Grounds Maintenance for Regional Transit System Facilities, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
