Schedule of Fees, Rates and Charges related to fire alarm system contractors; providing directions to the codifier; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause; and providing an immediate effective date.

 

explanation

The City Commission, at its meeting of July 21, 2016, directed the City Attorney to draft an amendment to the Fire Protection and Prevention Code to correspond to changes to Section 553.7931, Florida Statutes relating to false fire alarms.  The Office of the City Attorney, in consultation with City staff, prepared this ordinance to include other updates and clarifications.

 

This ordinance requires two hearings and shall become effective immediately upon final adoption.
