This item is to ratify a three year successor agreement between the City and the CWA Supervisory Bargaining Unit.
Explanation
This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 3170, Supervisory Unit and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 3170, Supervisory Unit on January 22, 2019. This Agreement extends the current Collective Bargaining Agreement through December 31, 2021.
A copy of the Agreement is on file in the Office of the Clerk of the Commission. After February 7, 2019, the Agreement will be on file in the Human Resources Department.
Fiscal Note
The cost impact of the FY 19 raises is included in the FY 19 budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission ratify the Agreement between the Communications Workers of America (CWA), Local 3170, Supervisory Unit and the City of Gainesville, extending the Agreement through December 31, 2021.
