Explanation

Member Michael Selvester, who served as Chair of the UAB, resigned effective December 31, 2019.  According to UAB rules, vacancies in the role of officer must be filled immediately by regular election procedure.

Recommendation:

Elect a member to serve as UAB chair to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of the previous chair, for the remainder of the term, which is until April 2020.
