Explanation
The Library District's Board of Trustees consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Library District Governing Board. Three (3) of the seven members are City of Gainesville representatives, three (3) are Alachua County representatives, and one (1) is a representative of the Alachua County League of Cities. The term of City representative Linda Y. Jackson expires on March 31, 2020 and she is eligible to serve a second three year term.
The Library District advertised one City of Gainesville vacancy, one Alachua County vacancy and one Alachua County League of Cities vacancy from January 6, 2020 - February 7, 2020. Three applications for the City of Gainesville position were received.

Recommendation:
The City Commission nominate applicants Jeannine M. Cawthon and Linday Y. Jackson for consideration of appointment by the Library District Governing Board.
