This item involves a resolution authorizing the City Manager or designee to execute and enter into agreements, and other documents with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the construction and maintenance of the NW 19th Lane Multimodal Project on behalf of the City.

The FDOT is funding the construction of an eight (8) feet wide path between NW 16th Terrace and US 441/NW 13th Street.

The City of Gainesville is a FDOT Certified local agency. The resolution allows the City to enter into agreements with FDOT who will fund the construction of the project to be implemented by the City. The City will receive reimbursement when FDOT funding is scheduled.

The City is requesting to enter into an agreement with FDOT to extend time for the construction of the NW 19th Lane Multimodal Project and authorize the City Manager or designee to execute any and all agreements with FDOT pertaining to this project.
