2021 Neighbor Survey Findings (B)
Explanation
The City of Gainesville hired ETC Institute to conduct the 2021 neighbor engagement survey. The goal of the survey is to document what we are doing well and what we can improve from the neighbor’s perspective. The information can help inform priorities set by the City Commission and City Leadership.
A paper survey was mailed to 9,000 randomly selected residents across the City’s four districts. The goal is to have at least 250 respondents per district. The survey was available in English and Spanish. Neighbors could complete the survey by mailing back the survey to ETC in the self-addressed stamped envelope or by completing it online.
ETC Institute will present the findings of the survey during this presentation.

Fiscal note
No additional funds required for this project. The cost for this project was $38,500.00 and was absorbed into the Strategic Initiatives budget.
Recommendation
It is recommended that the City Commission hears a presentation of findings from ETC Institute, the vendor who administered the survey.
