This item is a request to approve the recommended award for Request for Proposal (RFP) #CRAX-210038-GD and execute separate contracts with Quick Painting Group Corp., and Jet Set Company. Quick Painting Group Corp. is the primary vendor and Jet Set Company is the secondary vendor.
Explanation
On April 20, 2021 the City’s Purchasing Division issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for
Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program for the Gainesville Community Reinvestment Area (GCRA). The RFP process was implemented in compliance with, and as required by, Florida Statutes and City of Gainesville policies.
Two (2) proposals were submitted by the deadline. The submission contained technical and written proposals and a price proposal. The City estimated approximately 45 homes of varying sizes and conditions to be painted per fiscal year. An evaluation team consisting of City staff evaluated and ranked proposals. The highest ranked proposal was submitted by Quick Painting Group. The GCRA desires to enter into a contract for Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program with Quick Paint Group as the primary vendor and Jet Set II, LLC dba Jet Set Company as the backup vendor.

Fiscal Note
The not to exceed amount of $150,000 is allocated for the Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program from the GCRA fiscal year 2021 budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or his designee to execute contracts with Quick Painting Group and Jet Set II, LLC dba Jet Set Company for Painting and Pressure Washing Services for the Neighborhood Paint Program, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
