Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement Creating the Joint Food System Policy Board (B)

 

explanation

On June 1, 2021, the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners and the Gainesville City Commission entered into an Interlocal Agreement Creating the Joint Food System Policy Board.  After meeting, the Joint Board decided it was in the best interests of the Joint Board to appoint additional members who represent additional stakeholders in the community in order to achieve the goals of the board.  The additional board members are a representative of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, a representative of Santa Fe College, and a resident of an urban area impacted by food insecurity.  The Board of County Commissioners has approved the Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement.

recommendation

The City Commission approve the Amended and Restated Interlocal Agreement Creating the Joint Food System Policy Board and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Gainesville.
