Explanation
The applicant operates a swimming pool retail facility at the above location. That use is allowed in the BA zoning district. However, that district does not allow outdoor storage and display as a primary use by right. The applicant was recently cited by Code Enforcement for having swimming pools stored and displayed alongside the right-of-way in front of the subject property. The code provides an opportunity for the Development Review Board (DRB) to consider a request to allow up to up to 25% of the existing indoor storage area to be used as outdoor accessory storage and display, subject to compatibility and screening standards.
The applicant is requesting that the DRB consider a request to have limited outdoor storage, consistent with the requirements of the Land Development Code.
