Reusable Fuels Presentation (B)

Explanation

The City of Gainesville has a goal of attaining Zero Waste by 2040.  As part of reaching this goal, the City’s Strategic Plan includes “Consider the Use of Waste-to-Energy to address difficult to recover materials and waste streams.” Public Works and GRU staff have been meeting to investigate synergies and discuss possible collaboration on recoverable and reusable fuels. This informational presentation is being delivered to the UAB prior to being presented to the City Commission’s Zero Waste Subcommittee, which will be scheduled at a future date.

There is no fiscal impact at this time.

Recommendation

The UAB receive a presentation from Public Works and GRU staff.
