Historic Preservation Board Workshop and Training. 

 

Explanation

The Historic Preservation Board participated in a joint meeting with the City Commission on October 28, 2020 to discuss historic preservation activities in the City.  The Commission voted on a six part motion concerning items that may be implemented quickly without having to wait on the hiring of a full-time historic preservation planner and other items to review and update.  The direction was to schedule another joint meeting with the City Commission in the next few months.  The board is also due for legal training from the City Attorney’s office since several newer members of the board have not yet received this training, which is offered to the public boards of the City.  

 

 

Recommendation

Staff recommends the board discuss the referrals from the City Commission and take part in the legal training session offered by the City Attorney’s office.
