Explanation

 

The applicant is a disabled person who indicates that he is experiencing difficulties entering and leaving his property during inclement weather.  He wishes to construct a carport in the front yard to facilitate easy access directly from his covered automobile into his home.  He is requesting a variance to reduce the front setback from 20 feet to 8 feet to allow construction of the carport to alleviate his situation.
