Explanation
The City Auditor conducted a City Wide Succession Planning Audit that identified a need for the City to adopt a formal Succession Planning Policy to ensure that the City is prepared for changes that will result from an aging workforce. Human Resources was tasked with developing the policy. In cooperation with the Charter Officers, the attached policy was developed and presented the Charter Officers on November 22, 2021 and direction was provided to forward to the City Commission for approval.
