Explanation

The purpose of this item is for the City Commission to discuss and provide feedback on the draft chapters   of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, Imagine GNV:

 

1.                     Gainesville Today (An Introduction)

2.                     How We Learn (Education)

3.                     Our Cultural Identity (Arts, Culture and Preservation)

4.                     How We Get Around (Transportation and Mobility)

5.                     Our Environment (Conservation and More)

6.                     Our Health and Well Being (Health Care Access)

7.                     How We Work (Economic Opportunity and Jobs)

8.                     Our City Government (Policies, Planning, and Participation)

9.                     Where We Live (Housing and Neighborhoods)

10.          How We Build (How Our City Grows)

 

Additional supplemental documents are being drafted and reviewed by the Department of Sustainable Development and the City Plan Board and will be presented to the City Commission at a later date.
