Downtown Chronic Homelessness Street Outreach Initiative (B)
Explanation
On February 16, 2021, at the request of former City Manager Feldman, the GCRA Advisory Board unanimously approved a request for funding for the Downtown Chronic Homelessness Street Outreach Initiative (Legistar #200830) in the amount of $201,010 from the Downtown Tax Increment CRA funding. Subsequently, at the April 1, 2021, the City Commission granted final approval of the request (Legistar #200948).
After receiving the FY21 Annual Report update at its February, 15, 2022 GCRA Advisory Board meeting, the Board made a formal request for an update on the Street Outreach Initiative. In response to that request, Mr. Jon DeCarmine, Executive Director of Grace Market Place will provide an update summarizing the progress of their efforts to address the homelessness challenges in the District.
Fiscal Impact
$201,010 was funded from Fund 1126 Downtown Redevelopment Tax Increment. The contract will run through September 30, 2024.
