Explanation
This petition is initiated by the City of Gainesville and proposes to rezone ten (10) parcels from SF-3 Single Family Residential, Urban 3 (U3), Urban 4 (U4), and Urban 6 (U6) to Urban 8 (U8) and southern portion of subject parcel Public Service and Operations (PS). The total land area for the proposed development is 23.55 acres and is located in the 2100 Block of SE Hawthorne Road
The subject parcels are surrounded by Public Services and Operations (PS) and Urban 6 (U6) to the north; Single- Family Residential (RSF-3) south; Urban 3 (U3), Urban 4 (U4), Urban 6 (U6), and Urban 8 (U8) east; Urban 3 (U3) and Urban 6 (U6) west.
The proposed Land Use and Re-zoning changes are intended to implement the East Gainesville Urgent Care Center Initiative. An agreement between the City of Gainesville (City), Alachua County, and Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Inc., on the development of the clinic. Discussion on proposed additions to complement the clinic with supportive services RTS mobility hub/transfer station and a Community Resource Paramedicine (CRP) facility.
