Title
Fence Heights (B)
Explanation
Residential fencing height requirements differ by city, and within these cities more specific restrictions can be imposed based on zoning districts, where the fence is located within the property, as well as the opacity and materials of the fences. The provisions in the City of Gainesville Code of Ordinances, which allow residential fences on the property line to be up to eight (8) feet in height, are on average more lenient than many other comparable cities, although there are cities with similar requirements.
