2000-2001 City Commission Goals and Objectives (B)

Explanation

The City Commission met for a retreat at Boulware Springs on Friday, January 28, 2000.   Jimmie Williams of the Human Resources Department assisted with several processes to determine City Commission Goals.  Identified items were prioritized by the City Commission.  Staff was directed to condense the information into Goals and Objectives.

The list of Goals was developed from the prioritization process and presented to the City Commission on February 14, 2000.  Staff was directed to prepare Objectives for implementation of each Goal.  Each Department provided information and up to six major Objectives are proposed for each Goal.  Each Objective contains implementation steps, staff assignments and completion dates.  A lead Department has been assigned to each major objective to coordinate the implementation steps.

Recommendation

The City Commission approve the proposed Objectives to implement the 2000-2001 City Commission Goals.
