Agreement for the Workforce Board Bus Pass Program (B)
Explanation
On September 11, 2000, the City of Gainesville (City) entered into an Agreement with the Alachua/ Bradford Regional Workforce Board (BOARD) to allow 1111 Work and Gain Economic Self-sufficiency (WAGES) customers to have prepaid, unlimited access to public transit as a means of providing them with access to childcare, education and training, medical services, and employment. The BOARD paid the City $10,000, which represents 100% of the cost of $9.00 per customer for 1111 WAGES customers (100% of $10,000).
The BOARD would like to enter into a similar Agreement with the City to allow 888 WAGES customers to have prepaid, unlimited access to public transit for a period of one year, with the approved bus passes expiring on January 31, 2003. The total amount to be paid by the BOARD to the City shall be $7,992, which represents 100% of the cost of $9.00 per customer for 888 WAGES customers.
Fiscal Note
The BOARD will make payment to the City in the amount of $7,992, upon receipt of invoice from the City.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute an Agreement with the Alachua/Bradford Regional Workforce Board, and any other necessary documents, for prepaid, unlimited public transit access.
