This item requests that the City Commission refer a citizen recommendation for a fire hydrant beautification program to the Public Safety Committee for review.

Explanation

The Public Safety Committee began discussion of this item at its January 10, 2008 meeting.  The Committee requested that GFR staff draft regulations for this program and bring them back at the next regular meeting to include that there was no cost to the City and the public safety issue.

Recommendation

The Public Safety Committee hear a presentation from GFR staff on the draft regulations for this program.
