Cross Walk Safety - Signalization (NB)

Explanation

Commissioner Thomas Hawkins brought this item forward during Commission Comment at the April 16, 2009 City Commission Meeting.  Commissioner Hawkins would like to discuss the enforcement and signing for vehicles to stop for pedestrians in crosswalks - like motorists do on the UF campus.

The Public Safety Committee discussed this referral at its May 26 and July 8, 2009 meetings.  It was recommended that staff come back to the Committee when progress had been made on a grant application for a pedestrian study.

Recommendation

The Public Safety Committee hear a progress update from staff on Cross Walk Safety.
