Title
Reimbursement for Oversizing of Wastewater and Reclaimed Water Facilities at Oakmont Planned Development (NB)
Reimburse the developer of Oakmont Planned Development for the oversizing of wastewater and reclaimed water facilities.
Explanation
Oakmont is a mixed use planned development located in the 2400 block of Parker Road (SW 122nd Street). A wastewater collection/transmission and reclaimed water transmission/distribution system must be constructed to provide wastewater and reclaimed water service for this project.
In order to properly serve adjacent undeveloped parcels, GRU is requiring Oakmont at Gainesville, LLP to construct oversized wastewater and reclaimed water facilities. The developer's engineer has accommodated this in the development design. The developer's incremental cost to oversize the wastewater and reclaimed water systems, for which reimbursement is being sought, is $121,230.00.
The recommended amount of $121,230.00 includes all design, construction, labor and materials associated with the wastewater and reclaimed water system oversizing to satisfactorily complete the work.
Recommendations
The City Commission authorize the General Manager or his designee to negotiate and execute an agreement for reimbursement to Oakmont at Gainesville, LLP for the oversizing of wastewater and reclaimed water facilities in an amount not to exceed $121,230.00 subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
Fiscal Note
Monies for this project are available in the FY 09 Water and Wastewater Capital Improvements Budget.\par Drafter
