Title
Construction of a Pedestrian Bridge for Ring Park.
Explanation
This project consists of the installation of a prefabricated clear span bridge (6' wide x 95' long) of welded steel construction for pedestrian access to Ring Park from the Elks Club parking lot. The Elks Club Lodge is located at 2424 N.W. 24th Boulevard (Glen Springs Road).
The Purchasing Division solicited bids from 24 vendors. Two responded with bids. JW Boyd Co. was the low qualified bidder. In order to save sales tax on the bridge itself, the bid was structured to allow the City to place the purchase order for the bridge directly with the bridge supplier. Construction will be by the contractor with contract administration and construction inspections by the Public Works Department.
Fiscal Note
Funds are available in project accounts for Ring Park, #318-990-T300-5720-4120.
