Explanation
Renovations to the Loblolly Environmental Facility were in the workplan for the Recreation and Parks Department for FY 1999. On November 8, 1999, the City Commission approved the bid award to Kay Construction, Inc. in the amount of $62,291.00. In July, 2000, the City received a change order from Kay Construction for re-plumbing, carpeting and additional windows totaling $4,534.23, which was within 10% of the previously approved amount. In October, 2000, the City received a second change order from Kay Construction for painting the interior of the facility for an amount of $3,644.00.

Funds are available in the Nature Operations Maintenance and Building Repairs account.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve Change Order Number Two for Kay Construction, Inc. for a total purchase order amount of $70,469.23.
