Title Water Management Advisory Committee Explanation The Alachua County Program Appraisal Advisory Committee has indicated that a recommendation will be made to the Alachua County Commission on July 30, 1998 to eliminate local funding for the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department (ADEPD). The Water Management Advisory Committee believes that this funding reduction would result in a significantly lower level of environmental protection within the City of Gainesville as well as within Alachua County. Therefore, the Water Management Advisory Committee recommends that the City Commission communicate to the Alachua County Commission, support for continued local funding of the ADEPD. Recommendations The City Commission receive a presentation from the Water Management Advisory Committee on the subject of support for continued local funding of the Alachua County Environmental Protection Department.
