Explanation
The Public Works Department is in the process of implementing the Traffic Management System (TMS). The Traffic Management Center is currently under construction and will include a video wall for viewing the traffic surveillance cameras and signal system activities. Technomedia Solutions LLC is a vendor specializing in video wall solutions. After a competitive bid process, the Public Works Department seeks authorization to purchase equipment and services from Technomedia Solutions, LLC.
Fiscal Note
Funding for the total of the TMS project in the amount of $18.2 million is available in multiple TMS project accounts including FDOT-TRIP Grant and Campus Development Agreement Capital Projects Fund.
Recommendation
Recommended Motion: The City Commission: 1) approve the purchase of the equipment and services from Technomedia Solutions LLC; and 2) authorize the City Manager to execute all necessary documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney as to form and legality.
