Special Recognition of GRU Camp EmPower Students (NB)

Explanation

As part of its succession planning to address an aging workforce, GRU staff developed Camp EmPower, a spring break camp designed to expose middle school-aged students to careers in the utility industry. From April 1st, 2019 through April 5^th, 2019, GRU held its 7^th annual camp.  Students from local schools spent their spring break with GRU staff, learning about a different area of the utility each day. The students were given hands-on experience with different jobs and participated in mock job interviews at the end of the week followed by graduation.
