City Hall and Old Library Improvements Update (B)

Explanation

City Hall is the main City administration building in Gainesville, a physical representation of local government, where citizens interact with City officials and receive a variety of services. In addition, City Hall and the neighboring Old Library building are the workplace of hundreds of employees. These buildings were built in the 1960’s, last renovated in the 1990’s, and could benefit from a variety of upgrades. In this presentation, Staff will provide a project update, including work-to-date and proposed next steps.

Fiscal Note
The FY18 CIP amount for this project is $2,500,000. No new funding request is being made at this time. 
Recommendation

The City Commisison 1) hear a staff presentation, and 2) provide guidance as needed.
