Explanation

At the Code Enforcement Committee meeting on June 29, the Committee discussed how they could broaden the scope of the Committee formally through a new name called the "Community Development Committee".  The new name will better reflect the range of issues addressed by the Committee, such as neighborhood preservation, heritage neighborhood signs, and homeownership incentives, as well as code enforcement issues.

Recommendation

The City Commission change the name of "Code Enforcement Committee" to the "Community Development Committee" in order to broaden the scope of the Committee to deal not just with code enforcement, but other related topics.
