City Commission Goals Setting Facilitator Contract
Explanation
On November 2, 1998 the City Commission directed the City Manager to select a facilitator to assist with the FY 2000 goal setting. Staff contacted Skip Everrit, Lyle Sumek and Lance deHaven-Smith, as directed. Dr. deHaven-Smith was available for the January 22, 1999 meeting. Skip Everrit and Lyle Sumek were not available. Staff also contacted Ruth Ann Bramson and Sylvester Murray. The qualifications of the three potential facilitators are attached.
Staff considers Lance deHaven-Smith, Ruth Ann Bramson and Sylvester Murray all suitably qualified for this endeavor.
Fiscal Impact
The funds for this contract will come from the City Manager's budget.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) select one of the suggested facilitators; 2) direct the City Manager to finalize the contract for services; and 3) individually prepare information for preliminary planning with the goal setting facilitator.
