Explanation

At the March 27, City Commission Meeting,  Brooke Orsborne of the African American Aids Task Force gave a presentation regarding the event "Teen Summit 2000 - Stepping Into the Future."  This event is to be held at the City's Martin Luther King Center, April 28, 2000 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.  Ms. Orsborne requested that the City Commission waive the facility and staff fees; and the cost for the police officer for security. 

Recommendation

The City Commission co-sponsor the event, and pay $175.00 for the police officer for security out of the City Commission Contingency Fund.
