Firefighter Paramedic of the Year Award (NB)
Explanation
In December the Florida Fire Chiefs' Association selected Allen Siorek as Florida's Firefighter/Paramedic of the Year. In his young career with GFR, Siorek has shown a leadership in key projects for the department, including emergency medical services and training to the community. He has accepted the additional role of "Team Leader" for the Tactical Medical Support Team; is a SWAT medic; is both Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor; and provides strong support to development of department electronic information systems, communications systems, and quality monitoring and assurance. Firefighter/Paramedic Siorek is a highly professional, innovative, and motivating member of the Gainesville Fire Rescue organization.
