School Resource Officer and School Board of Alachua County Funding Agreement (B)

Explanation

This is a request to discuss the School Resource Officer and School Board of Alachua County Funding Agreement for Fiscal Year 2020-2021 and the next three years afterwards between the City of Gainesville and School Board of Alachua County.  This agreement expired on July 30, 2020 and is retroactive to August 1, 2020.

Fiscal

The School Board agrees to pay $1,200,000.00 as its share of funding for the listed schools for the period of August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2021; $1,387,500 for August 1, 2021 to July 21, 2022; $1,481,250 for August 1, 2022 to July 21, 2023; and $1,575,000 for August 1, 2023 to July 21, 2024.

Recommendation:

The City Commission authorize the execution of the SRO Agreement.
