Explanation
The contract for Computer Network Database Application Development and Maintenance Services dated September 28, 1999, First Extension dated July 7, 2000 and Second Extension dated July 9, 2001 with Virtual Engineering Solutions, Inc. will expire on September 30, 2002. This firm has responded to the City's requests for services promptly and their services have been reliable and accurate. The Public Works Department recommends extending this contract for FY 2003.
The Contract for Fiscal Year 2000 allowed for five extensions. This is the third request for an extension.
Fiscal Note
Funding sources will be identified, as needed from the City capital project budgets.
Recommendation
The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the Third Extension to the contract with Virtual Engineering Solutions, Inc. for Computer Network Database Application Development and Maintenance Services, extending the term of the contract from October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, subject to final appropriation of funds for FY 2003.
