At this year's Florida Recreation and Parks Associations annual conference awards banquet, the City of Gainesville's Recreation and Parks Athletics Division was recognized for its Excellence in Youth Sports. This is a very prestigious award and this is the first time the City of Gainesville has been recognized for its Youth Sports Programming achievements.
