Explanation
This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between the Fire District Chiefs of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 2157, and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the Fire District Chiefs of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local No. 2157 bargaining unit on May 24, 2004. This Agreement allows for payments of supplemental paramedic pay to be made on a bi-weekly basis at the same rates as provided to employees covered by the Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville, Local No. 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters labor agreement.
Fiscal Note
Funds are currently budgeted for the fiscal year 2003-2004. The costs for the fiscal year 2004-2005 will be addressed in the budget preparation process for that year.
Recommendation
The City Commission ratify the Agreement for the Fire District Chiefs of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Local No. 2157, allowing for bi-weekly payment of supplemental paramedic pay at the same rates as provided to employees covered by the Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville, Local No. 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters labor agreement.
