On March 1, 2010, the City was served with a Summons and Complaint filed by Linda S. Lamar in the Circuit Court.  Ms. Lamar alleges that the Gainesville Police Department wrongfully identified her as a suspect which led to her being arrested by the Orange County Sheriff's Department.  Ms. Lamar alleges that she suffered physical injuries during the arrest and that those injuries are permanent and continuing in nature.  She is seeking money damages.
