This is a request to award the contract for demolition of dangerous structures to Florida Concrete Recycling, Inc.
Explanation
Code Enforcement and the Purchasing Department have conducted a bidding process for an annual contract for the demolition of dangerous structures. Florida Concrete Recycling, Inc. has been selected through the bidding process as the contractor best capable of meeting the requirements of the program. This is a one-year contract with an option to extend for two additional years for a total of three years.
Fiscal Note
Funds in the amount of $27,000 are budgeted in the FY09 Code Enforcement Contractual Services account.
Recommendation
The City Commission approve the contract with Florida Concrete Recycling, Inc. for demolition services required by the Code Enforcement Division for FY 09 in an amount not to exceed $100,000.
