Title N.W. 55th Street Sidewalk Project Explanation The N.W. 55th Street sidewalk project was selected by the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization as a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Enhancement Project. The purpose of the project is to provide sidewalk facilities on the east side of N.W. 55th Street from State Road 26 (Newberry Road) to N.W. 23rd Avenue. This project is scheduled for construction in the FDOT's Five Year Work program. FDOT's estimated construction start up is for the Fall of 2001. Fiscal Note Not Applicable. Recommendation The City Commission: 1) adopt the Resolution authorizing the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute a maintenance agreement for sidewalk to be constructed by the Florida Department of Transportation on N.W. 55th Street; and, 2) authorize the Mayor and Clerk of the Commission to execute and attest to the Maintenance Agreement for sidewalk construction along N.W. 55th Street from State Road 26 to N.W. 23rd Avenue, subject to approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
