Explanation

On August 2, 2018, the City Commission passed on second reading Ordinance 170808, which amends the Utility Advisory Board Code Provisions.  Among the changes was inclusion of a provision to invite the Alachua County Commission and the Alachua County School Board to each nominate a representative to sit as a non-voting member on the Utility Advisory Board.  The City Commission sent a letter of invitation to both bodies during the week of August 27, 2018.

The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) responded to staff that they want Commissioner Robert Hutchinson to represent the BOCC.
