Recommendation

The Public Works Committee directed staff to: 1) prepare a cost esitmate to replace the

existing roadway lighting on Main Street in downtown with the Renaissance light fixtures with the exclution of S 4th Avenue to N 2nd Avenue and include operating cost as agency and non agency roadway lighting.  2) present this at the  March 24, 2003, City Commission meeting; and 3) Refer to CRA to look at long term planning of funding to replace the current light fixtures with the Renaissance fixtures in the area of S 4th Avenue to N 2nd Avenue so that the lighting would be the same throughout the whole corridor.
