Explanation
During the Development Review Board's deliberation on the petition for Regents Park Phase II row houses, two affected property owners voiced concerns about the potential proposed development possibly increasing the demand for existing on-street parking in the area just east of City Hall. One private garage space is being provided within the development for each condominium unit, just as it was in Phase I of Regents Park. However, some members of the Board viewed that the parking situation should be examined once more to see if any opportunities for additional parking exist.
The Board asked that staff forward a referral to the City Commission, asking that Public Works revisit the parking situation around City Hall and possibly reconfigure some metered and non-metered parking, east toward the Melting Pot.
