Interlocal Agreement between the University of Florida and the City of Gainesville for Transit Services (B)

Explanation

Implementation of an Interlocal Agreement between the University of Florida and the City of Gainesville will continue to provide public transportation for students, faculty, and visitors traveling on the University of Florida campus.  This Agreement includes the continuation and enhancement of service on campus routes and extension of hours of service until evenings.  University of Florida Board of Trustees through the Department of Transportation and Parking Services will provide 100% funding for this service.

Fiscal Note

The total amount to be paid by the University of Florida to the City of Gainesville is $42.50 per hour of service.

Recommendation

The City Commission authorize the City Manager or designee to execute the Interlocal Agreement between the University of Florida and the City.
