Ratification of Contract change to the Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville Local 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters, Labor Agreement effective February 2, 1999 through September 30, 1999.
Explanation
This Agreement has been reached through negotiations between Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville Local 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters and the City of Gainesville, and was ratified by the Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville Local 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters bargaining unit on July 9, 1999. This Agreement becomes part of the current collective bargaining agreement.
Fiscal Note
Funding has been anticipated in the FY 2000 budget to pay for these changes to the current Agreement.
Recommendation
The City Commission: 1) ratify the Contract change for Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville Local 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters covering the period October 1, 1996 through September 30, 1999 between the City of Gainesville and Professional Fire Fighters of Gainesville Local 2157 of the International Association of Fire Fighters a copy of which is on file in the Human Resources Department; 2) authorize the City Manager to implement the Agreement on behalf of the City, subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and legality.
