Title
Request for a six-month extension of time in accordance with Section 30-183(j)(2) of the City of Gainesville, Land Development regulations for phases 2 and 3 of the Madera design plat. (B)
Explanation
Madera is a residential planned development. It was annexed into the City in April 2000, and the design plat, with 88 lots on 44.59 acres, was approved by the City Commission on October 22, 2001, as the Madera Cluster Subdivision, a three-phase development. Conditional final approval was issued for the first phase with phases two and three needing final plat approval within a period of twelve months.
The petitioner is requesting a six-month extension in order to provide a time schedule to prepare construction plans and plats for remaining phases two and three of the cluster subdivision.
Based on the Land Development Code, the City Commission may vote to grant extensions of up to six months only, for a petitioner to obtain final plat approval of a residential subdivision.
