Explanation

On January 10, 2000, David Lower, of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, approached the City Commission requesting a waiver of fees for the Martin Luther King building and GPD security cost for a proposed youth rally.  The event is to be held on February 9, 2000, and is intended to bring 1500 youth together from the east and west sides of town. The theme is "True Love Waits ".

Fiscal Note

In kind services in the amount of $200 would be needed for rental of the building and $675 in police services.

Recommendation

The City Commission receive an update from staff.
