Resolution for Maintenance Agreement with FDOT for a Retention Pond Enhancement Project (B)

 

Explanation

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is preparing to undertake a project known as the retention pond enhancement project on the west end of State Road 26A behind the City of Gainesville Fire Station. The project requires agreement by the City to maintain the property improvements including the fountain, lighting, street furniture, landscaping, sidewalks and all pertinent items associated with the project.  Upon completion and acceptance, the City will assume responsibility for maintenance of all items of enhancement.

 

Fiscal Note

Funds to maintain the retention pond will be absorbed in the operating budgets for both the Public Works and Recreation and Parks Departments.

 

Recommendation

The City Commission adopt the Resolution.
