Student Community Relations Advisory Board Ordinance Referral  (B)

Explanation

The City Commission referred the issue of student community relations to the Community Development Committee on November 27, 2006.  The Committee discussed this item several times, and suggested that the Student Community Relations Advisory Board Ordinance focus on issues and to maximize the harmony and well-being of the community, and to provide the forum for a dialogue on the issues, with the hope of identifying good resolutions.  On January 23, 2007, Daniel Jones reviewed the ordinance with the Community Development Committee.  On June 19, 2007, the Community Development Committee heard an update from Staff Liaison Dave Watkins, to the Student Community Relations Advisory Board, on the members appointed to the Student Community Relations Advisory Board, and on the first meeting of the new Committee.
