Explanation

The report evaluates the performance of the pension funds' equity and fixed income managers for the period of January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2001.  Investment manager performance is quantified as a rate of return on investments and is compared with specified benchmark indices appropriate to the  investment style of the individual manager.
